Espresso Eastern Blooms

Some of you may recall that I won a stamp set at my upline's team meeting. The beautiful set is called: Eastern Blooms.
Today I stayed home, took a break from Christmas projects and played with it.
Here's what I made. I got the colour combination from the colour coach. Early Espresso, Daffodil delight and Cherry Cobbler.
Boy, I've been using cherry cobbler so much it already needs an ink refill! This rich red colour is amazing for Christmas projects and now I see it is versatile enough to use on other projects as well!

Snowflake Spinner and Medallion Wreath

Here's a couple of cards that my friend Susan made. They were so cool I thought I'd share them with you. I love that the Medallion can turn into a Christmas wreath. Not only is this background stamp great for everyday cards, now you can make holiday cards with it.
The spinning snowflake punched out with the silver cardstock is so stunning. Woohoo! I'm really starting to get excited about the Christmas season.

A spectacular Sale!

There is a great sale going on right now! Make sure to go to my website to see all the deals. Perfect items to build your stampin' supplies and to give as holiday gifts.

Easy 3-D

Here's an easy 3-D card we made in club last weekend. It's the ornament image stamped twice,

folded in half and adhered together. I love how the central image just pops out but can still be folded down to fit in an envelope.

When I demonstrated this card in a workshop, it really wowed the workshop guests. One guest exclaimed: "you had me at snowflake!" (She was more impressed with the snowflake punch than the pop out ornament!)

If you want to wow your friends with paper crafting tricks while earning free products, you need to book a workshop with me. I am booking workshops for January and Febuary. With the upcoming release of the new occasions mini catalogue, it's a really great time to host a workshop.

Snowglobe card

Here's a fun idea I discovered. Why not use the sweet treat cups to create a snow globe type card? The question is always: how do you get the water to stay inside the cup? Use a window sheet to seal the cup and then place your stamped image behind. The a la carte stamp in the holiday mini catalogue with the snowglobe image would've been perfect for this card but I didn't have it. In desperate situations one must improvise: I used the snowman image from the Tags Till Christmas set. The snow globe base is half of a tag punch out. The main cardstock is marina mist dry embossed using the northern flurry embossing folder.

Pretty neat huh?

If you want to learn new stamping tricks while having a fun social night out, make sure you join one of my clubs. Please let me know if you want to join. I am hoping to start a new club in the new year. With the release of the occasions mini catalogue and sale-a-bration catalogue, it's a fabulous time to join a stampers club. Craft Show Experience

So, I've now had my first Craft Show Vendor experience. It's been something I've been wanting to try for a while but wasn't sure if it was worth the time and money investment. However, I know a lot of Stampin' Up! demonstrators do craft shows regularly but it's not something that I had ever tried. Here's the picture of our booth just before the doors opened. I think our set-up looked great and very professional. Thank you to Mai for the very functional foam board stands!

Here's the pictures of me and my craft show partner Susan. Susan was amazing about producing a huge number of beautiful cards for the craft show. We had cards, card folders, card purses, chocolate, stamped domino magnets, lollipops and magic reindeer food. Our biggest seller?

Reindeer Poop.
These chocolate covered raisins bagged with reindeer decorated toppers, were the hit. Don't you love how the circle punches and snowflake punch create rudolf's features? The saying on the back says:
I hear you've been naughty, so listen...here's the scoop
Instead of getting coal this year, you're getting reindeer poop!
Unfortunately, there were not a lot of people that came through the doors to take in the craft show so we have a lot of unsold items. Fortunately, our church is having a fundraiser sale next week so I am able to donate my remaining items to this sale. Well, not the Christmas cards since Susan is actually secretly pleased that she doesn't have to make Christmas cards for two years now!
If you want to purchase any of the items as stocking stuffer or teacher gifts, let me know and I will put them aside for you.

Another Scrapbooking page

Recognize the pictures? Yes, they're from Stampin' Up! regional conference in Hamilton. I just scrapbooked the pictures and I love this page because I was able to incorporate the scrapbook page make n take from the conference (see the old olive 8 1/2X11 page). I just pasted it onto my 12X12 page. I then added the swirly cut out from the big shot. This makes such a lovely border. A must have die for any scrapbooker!

Gag gift

Here's a cute stocking stuffer gag gift that will be on my craft show table. It's magic reindeer food. The rhyme says:
Just sprinkle on the lawn at night
The moon will make it sparkle bright
As Santa's reindeer fly and roam,
This treat will guide them to your home.
It was so easy to make with the big shot top note die and the cute deer friends stamp.
I filled the cellophane bag with oatmeal and sparkly green cupcake sprinkles. Completely edible in case some child decides to be a reindeer.

Scrapbooking weekend

It was a scrapbook weekend for me. A whole weekend to catch up on my scrapbooking. I think I got something like 20 spreads done. Here's one (sans pictures of the kids) from the rainforest cafe. All my pages are always really simple. My goal is to get the pictures down and the memories journalled. Artistic merit is low on the list. That's why I love using co-ordinating paper. The Stampin' Up! dsp is perfect because of how easy everything co-ordinates.

Deal on the demonstrator opportunity

This is a never-before seen offer. The full starter kit for only$107.50. This is only until November 30th.
I've been a demonstrator for 3 years and haven't seen a deal this good. If you've been considering the demonstrator opportunity and want to know more about how to earn money doing something fun, talk to me.
Feel free to go to my website for more information.
If you want to sign up, my authorization password is "stampingparty"

Christmas card class

So another year, another 40 Christmas card class. Here are some of the pictures from the class. There were lots of ladies, laughter and creativity. I would say that most women decided to take the Simply Scrappin Kit and go their own creative way instead of following my ideas exactly. However, many still got their 40 cards done in 3 and a half hours while the others had less cards but more creativity.
Those Simply Scrappin kits are so misnamed because they are not just for scrappin!
You'll see that some of the pictures are not at my home. That's because the 40 card class filled up and Mimi decided she would still love to do the class with her friends so she found enough friends to do a private 40 card class at her home. Yes, I have stamps and will travel!

Stampin' Up! team fun

It's no secret that I love Stampin' Up! products and being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator. One of the perks is attending team meetings with my upline. At this month's meeting, we made these three Christmas cards. I especially love the reindeer card because of the added bling of the glass glitter and the texture of the dry embossed matte.
I also was super excited to win one of the many draw prizes she gave out. EASTERN BLOOMS!!! I didn't have this stamp set until now but I had eyed it many times. Stay tuned because I will be playing with this set now that I own it.
Want to join in on the fun of being a Stampin' Up demonstrator while earning money? Sign up on my website: authorization code is "stampingparty" or come to my next Stampin' Up! family night on Dec. 10th where we will learn more about the demonstrator opportunity and there will be free make n takes. Make sure to rsvp to me so I know you plan to come.

Halloween Crafting on Rogers Daytime

This one was a little crazy since it was the special halloween episode and the hosts were dressed up. Still lots of fun. People always ask if I'm nervous doing these segments but I'm not. I'm usually pretty excited to stamp and then to add in two very enthusiastic, interested people, it's fabulous. I don't just love to stamp. I love to share stamping!

I know halloween is over now but don't let that stop you from taking some of these ideas and adapting them for Christmas.

If you missed my previous tv segments, just click on the links on the right of my blog to check them out.

Free Stampin' Dollars!

I love sitting down and updating everyone's customer cards. What is a customer card you ask? Here's the scoop: When anyone places their second order with me, I automatically start a customer card. Each customer card has 20 squares. Every $20 purchase gets a "punch" on the card. Once your card is full, you get a $25 gift certificate from me to use for any Stampin' Up! purchases.
The card also has 5 squares. I will punch one square for every $10 or more class you attend. When these 5 squares are full, you will get a free class pass. Here's the best part: the cards never expire and as soon as one card fills up, I start another one.
It's that easy! I just keep the cards together in my drawer so that no one loses their card or forgets to bring it to the club meeting or whatever. I get to give out more gift certificates that way. I've heard from other demonstrators that customers kept losing their cards when they did this program. So my solution is to keep them all together and safe in my drawer. If you want to know how close you are to getting your $25 gift certificate, just ask me.
So, the picture of the six cards above are the cards that I am giving to 6 people with their $25 gift certificate inside. I love giving away these free stampin' dollars. It's my way of saying thank you for your loyalty to me. I appreciate the privlege of being your Stampin' Up! demonstrator.
