Shake it up!

I can't remember if I posted this fun card.  I demonstrated it at my holiday showcase last month.  I wanted to show how easy it was to use the new shaker frames that are in the holiday mini catalogue.  This is my version of a shaker card using the Tags Till Christmas set.  The sentiment is from the Snow swirled set.  I love the colours: pear pizzazz and cajun craze.  I never thought those two colours would work together but the colour coach told me it would so I did. A little bit of Mica flakes and dazzling diamonds makes the fun shaker element.  If you want to see how easy it is to make a shaker card, book a private class with me and your friends and I'd be happy to demonstrate for you!

Easy 3-D

Here's an easy 3-D card we made in club last weekend. It's the ornament image stamped twice,

folded in half and adhered together. I love how the central image just pops out but can still be folded down to fit in an envelope.

When I demonstrated this card in a workshop, it really wowed the workshop guests. One guest exclaimed: "you had me at snowflake!" (She was more impressed with the snowflake punch than the pop out ornament!)

If you want to wow your friends with paper crafting tricks while earning free products, you need to book a workshop with me. I am booking workshops for January and Febuary. With the upcoming release of the new occasions mini catalogue, it's a really great time to host a workshop.

Snowglobe card

Here's a fun idea I discovered. Why not use the sweet treat cups to create a snow globe type card? The question is always: how do you get the water to stay inside the cup? Use a window sheet to seal the cup and then place your stamped image behind. The a la carte stamp in the holiday mini catalogue with the snowglobe image would've been perfect for this card but I didn't have it. In desperate situations one must improvise: I used the snowman image from the Tags Till Christmas set. The snow globe base is half of a tag punch out. The main cardstock is marina mist dry embossed using the northern flurry embossing folder.

Pretty neat huh?

If you want to learn new stamping tricks while having a fun social night out, make sure you join one of my clubs. Please let me know if you want to join. I am hoping to start a new club in the new year. With the release of the occasions mini catalogue and sale-a-bration catalogue, it's a fabulous time to join a stampers club.
