stampin4fun: A little time with my baby

If you've been following my facebook, you'll see that my youngest son graduated from grade 8 this year.

I really can't believe that my "baby" is going into high school. How is that possible?

Since he had such a strange graduating year, I wanted to do a few things to make him feel celebrated and special. You can read about some things we did HERE

I also decided to take him on a little getaway to Ottawa. Normally his class would have gone on a class graduating trip to Ottawa but obviously that was cancelled because of the pandemic. I had tried to convince him to go at the end of June and skip some days of his virtual school as I figured what kid doesn't want to skip school?

My kid didn't want to miss school. LOL

So instead we decided to go right at the beginning of July. It actually worked out better because patios were open for outdoor dining and we could be in the nations capital for Canada Day on July 1st.

This little getaway was also special because we could visit with my oldest son who is doing his university co-op term in Ottawa. I think my youngest admires his big brother and couldn't wait to see where he was living.

July 1st was not only Canada day...it was also demonstrator preorder day for the holiday catalogue! I hid in the bathroom while Nathaniel was sleeping so I could order my new goodies!

Going to Ottawa means getting a Beaver Tail of course!

We went to the Museum of Canadian History in Quebec. The movie theater in the museum was open! First time in a theater in over one and a half years!
