I can't believe we're already the middle/end of February. Where does the time go?
Its been an interesting season for me because life pace seems a little slower for me. I have no idea why but I'm enjoying it.
After all these years as a Stampin' Up! demonstrator maybe I've come to a point where I can sometimes "clock out".
As some of you know, my main thinking with being a demonstrator was that I really felt it was a fabulous way to serve women with a fun and meaningful hobby. Somehow, just the way my brain works, it always felt like it was thinking of new ideas and since the whole thing wasn't just a "business" to me, I never felt I could close off the shop so to speak because I wanted to make sure I was available to help.
This sometimes led to problems balancing the other responsibilities in my life.
Anyway, lately I've been a lot better about just walking away from the computer and the craft cave and instead choosing to do other activities. All the striking at the school also means the kids seem to be around more too. Now that the oldest has moved out downtown for school and I don't see him as much, I'm much more cognizant of wanting to spend time with the other two kids before they fly the coop too!
Here's a few photos of the fun things I've been enjoying!
Made some valentine treats for the classmates in my french class |
Skiing with the kids on a strike day |
Crafting valentines treats for the kids. (the oldest got a care package sent to his residence downtown) |
An outing to the Royal Ontario Museum |
My online stampin' bingo night was super fun and relaxing for me too even though I guess it was technically work but it was fun for me to see everyone else having fun! |
