Triple time

I've been trying really hard to be more organized with my time and see if there are ways I can plan my classes earlier in advance so that you can all get sneak peeks of my classes earlier. People have told me that they do appreciate having an idea of upcoming classes earlier so they can plan their schedules.

I'm very excited to share that I have already decided on my theme for May 1st technique class. 

We are going to make three cards using the Triple Time stamping technique. 

Here's a sneak peek of one of the cards.  It uses Jar of Love stamp set and the retiring Wetlands stamp set. (Shop for retiring products before they are gone!)

Technique class is always the first Monday of each month. We always learn something new.

Back to Black Notecard Set

This summer our family is doing something special together.  We will be going with other members of our church to serve the First Nations people in Thunder Bay.
Service has always been an important family value and we have talked about doing service projects together with our children.  Local things such as Christmas carolling at the hospital or volunteering at a community fun fair have been examples of activities we have done with our children.  When this opportunity to partner with Eagle's Cove ministry came up, we felt it was something we could do together as a family.
We will be heading up in August and I would love to tell you more about what we will be doing and I'm sure we'll have stories when we get back.
Currently, the entire team is working together to raise funds to help support the expenses associated with this service opportunity.
So, I thought I would  design a card kit class.  This is completely non-profit.  Here's all the details:  I hope you will consider purchasing a kit.  Your support would be much appreciated!

A fundraiser to help support Eagle’s Cove Ministry

Option A: Receive 5 completed, handmade notecards and matching envelopes and a package of pearls to embellish your cards as you wish.  Cost: $25 local, $30 mailed

Option B: Receive all supplies, and envelopes to make the cards yourself at my class on August 5^th 7:00pm.  Cost: $25. Includes pkg of pearls so you can embellish as you desire.

Option C: Take it 2 Go! Receive all the pictures, paper and embellishments to make the cards on your own time.  Use your own ink and stamps.  Cost:  $25 local, $30 mailed

Add-on Wetlands stamp set to any option for an additional $22 (clear) , $30 (wood)

Basic Black meets Wetlands

Here's one of the swap cards I received at the catalogue premiere in Mississauga.  Yup.  We even swapped in a movie theater!
It was made by Karen A.  It uses the Wetlands stamp set.  The goose image is embossed in black.  Dramatic!

An Easy Gift Tag using an Aquapainter technique

Okay!  Full steam ahead as I get ready to cruise the Western Caribbean with Stampin' Up! I am trying not to think about my horrible motion sickness issues.  Instead, I am trying to focus on all the fellow demonstrators I will see and the fun bonding time I will have with my daughter.  Many of the demonstrators from the U.S. have become friends through conventions, and past trips.  I can't say hello without having a little gift for all of them.  Here's what I decided to make.  It uses the retiring Gently Falling stamp set (this set is only available while supplies last so if you love it, shop now on my store.)

This incentive trip is special.  It's the first global trip that Stampin' Up! has ever had.  So, there will be demonstrators there from the European markets and South Pacific markets.  I've already hooked up online with someone from Australia to share a cab to the Dolphin experience excursion in Mexico.  Because there will be so many countries represented on the ship, I really wanted to make something that represented Canada. I actually had such fun making this cute little tag that I couldn't resist making a video for you.

I loved the aquapainter technique I showed in the video.  Here's another sample of a card using that technique.  This was made by my friend Cynthia M.  It uses the peaceful petals stamp set in the spring catalogue and the circles thinlit card.
