Another Fantastic Day

Yesterday was an amazing day!  It was the day where we get our swap cards and go to the share affair where some demonstrators share cool techniques and fun ideas.
At first Kevin came with me because we went to help with the service project but the task of stuffing bags full of hygeine supplies for a homeless shelter was done before we even got there.  I was immediately distracted by the new display boards set up with all the swap cards.  I was snapping pictures madly because I love the ideas!
Here's just a few...I'm sorry I don't know who made them but it wasn't me!
Love the way someone used the Hello You thinlits in a creative way to spell a new word!

This card uses two of the up and coming in colours: Cucumber Crush and Watermelon Wonder
This was a totally over the top birthday decoration made with Hershey's chocolate nuggets.

Stamp Camp on June 13th is completely full but to see my swap cards in person, register for my May 28th Sweet and Simple Card class   The cards we will be doing will be masculine themed.  We can all use some cards that are appropriate for the men in our life.  I can't wait to see you in person and all orders on that evening will make sure you get a new catalogue with your order!  Woot!  Trust me, you want a copy of the new catalogue in your hands!

As I was drooling over the card samples and looking at everyone else's swaps, Kevin stood off to the side and looked really bored.  So I told him he should go off and find someone to hang out with.  He was off in a flash and I heard he hooked up with his buddy Dave and Scott and enjoyed the ocean and beach.  :-)
We met up for lunch with my friend Jennifer Cotton from Texas and her husband.  We wandered the streets looking for food.
This is where we ate.

It wasn't even a building.  It was some picnic tables in an alleyway between two buildings.  I had some awesome teriyaki chicken with rice.  None of us were accustomed to eating in an alleyway and there were plenty of jokes about the fear of getting food poisoning but all was well and it was yet another memorable experience on this great incentive trip.

Another treat I enjoyed was a Dole Pineapple soft serve ice cream.  So yummy!
I can't believe the trip is almost over.  Last night was the final night event.   Each year Stampin' Up! does something different to mark the last night of an incentive trip and make it special.  This year we were able to tour the USS Missouri.  It was on this battleship that the instrument of surrender terminating the Second World War was signed on Sept. 2, 1945.  It was so interesting.

Of course you can't have a private Stampin' Up! event without a few special touches like the snacks. (love our chevron gift bags!...on sale now as a retiring product...visit my online store!)
The actual document that was signed signifying the end of World War II

Dinner on the dock consisted of a BBQ meal with all you can eat burgers, dogs, noodles, BBQ chicken, corn, salad, and dessert.  I was really full!

The final night event is always a bit bittersweet because it is sad that such a perfect trip has to end but of course feeling so blessed and grateful for every single experience.
Here's the final pillow gift I found when I returned to the room.

It was a beautiful sterling silver necklace with a freshwater pearl and Hawaiian hibiscus flower.

We are heading home today but our flight is late and appears to have been delayed even later so we are going to try to enjoy some last few rays of tropical sunshine.
Aloha!
