Same gum wrapper, different colour!

Hello!  Things are in high gear as I get ready to take off with my youngest on his first Stampin' Up! incentive trip.  I don't know if this happens to you before a trip but my mind is racing with about two million things that need to get done before I leave.  Some days this causes me to be insanely productive...other days it causes me to be insanely overwhelmed and confused resulting in severe unproductivity!

Of course one of the things that I am up to is making swaps for the cruise.  A huge shout out to friends Camille, Lucy and Laura Linda who came over to help me stamp.  I also got hubby involved in the stamping production that was going on as I was feeling there was just too much to do and more hands were needed!

For the "anything but a card" swap, I decided to do the gum wrapper and decided to use the new in colour emerald envy.

Embossed No Bones About It

We are celebrating a birthday in the Ko household at the end of March.  The younger kids love celebrating their birthday! Why wouldn't they?  It's a day all about them!

I can't believe my little guy is going to turn nine next month.  Last night we went down to start planning his invitations.  He had already started browsing pinterest for birthday card ideas and found a card he wanted to CASE.  I took one look at it and said it was way too hard.  It used the No Bones About It stamp set.  We both loved that stamp set so we started looking on Pinterest  for cards that used that stamp set.  We found a cute one and set ourselves to making 5 so he could hand them out to his little friends at school.

The white heat embossing on the basic black paper made the dinosaurs really pop!


Nathaniel is inviting two girls to his party.  They are the ones that get the invitations with the stars.  :-)

Watch it Wednesday: No Bones About It Kids Can Craft Project

Kids Can Craft is in full swing!  We've definitely pumped up the crafting experience by making projects that involve more steps or different techniques.  The kids are becoming quite vocal now since the initial shyness with us and fellow campers has worn off.  The room of crafters can get pretty loud at times.  It's hilarious to hear kids who didn't know how to stamp before ask for their "dimensionals" .

This was my favourite project from today's animal themed day.  It's a box that can hold anything inside.  I decided to make some little tags to fit inside.

I believe the finished box is 3.25" x 3.25" x 1.25"

Enjoy today's Watch it Wednesday video where I show how to make this project.  I didn't show in the video but I used a sponge and rubbed some early espresso ink around the edges of the box and tags to give it more of a prehistoric look.  :-)

Stamping Happiness at Stamp Camp

Just wanted to share some pictures of the day yesterday.
It started with my annual hostess appreciation breakfast.  It's an exclusive event just for those who were party hostesses this past year or who were stampin4fun club members.
I had arranged for some special in-color cupcakes to be made.  I know cupcakes aren't traditional breakfast fare but really...aren't cupcakes good for any time of day?  Especially when they are iced with our pretty, stampin' up in colours.

I love the kits Stampin' Up offers in the catalogue this year so I had a kit display.

I also had a special Buy One Get One sale of retired product.

There were also two stamping projects at the hostess event but I forgot to snap pictures of them. 

I hope the hostesses had a fun time because I sure did! 

Then we had a quick turn around and switched up the hall set up, took down the bogo sale and opened the doors for the New Catalogue Stamp Camp event. 

Stamp Camp is an event that I do whenever a new Stampin' Up! catalogue is released.  This time, the tickets for the event sold out way ahead of the early bird deadline and we had a full house. 

It started with stamping demonstrations.

After the stamping demonstrations we dove right into stamping.  Everyone received a little goodie bag of product and were able to make 10 different cards using product from the new catalogue.

What makes me super happy about stamp camp is seeing everyone just chatting and stamping and enjoying themselves.

A huge thank you to my helpers for the two events.  Lucy and Veda were amazing little elves that helped make everything run as smoothly as it did.
