Ink and Inspiration Blog Hop

Thank you for dropping in to the October Ink & Inspiration Blog hop!  Enjoy projects from demonstrators around the world! Our theme this month is fall/halloween projects.

You're currently at my blog, Genevieve Ko.  Make sure to check out the list below and visit all the blogs for extra inspiration!

I wanted to share one of the special handmade gifts that I gave my retreat attendees. I love to provide little pampering touches at the retreat (read the retreat recap HERE)

It's a box that could hold all kinds of goodies but what's cool is that absolutely no adhesive is used to hold the box together.  It's just how it's cut and scored that makes it work.

I learned how to make this box from a demonstrator in the UK

I just changed up the paper so that it would be appropriate for halloween.

I hope you enjoyed this halloween inspiration.  Thanks for dropping in.

May Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop

So wonderful to be part of a group of international demonstrators hopping today!  We want to give you a sneak peek of some of the lovely things in the Annual catalogue that will be going live very soon!  Do you have the date marked in your calendar?  June 1st 2pm EST is when the website will be live with all the new goodies!

Today I'd like to share a card I created for a Canadian swap that I participated in.  I'm using one of the upcoming Host Exclusive sets called "Very Vintage".  This set will be available only to those who have earned Stampin' Rewards through hosting a party or placing a minimum $200 order or you can also access it if you are a Stampin4fun Club member

I actually bought the set because I loved the distressed medallion image but when I sat down to play, it was actually the floral image that caught my fancy!

On this card I decided to use the copper embossing powder for the floral image.

I love how it gives it an elegant shine

I can't wait to find more time to play with this set and explore all the vintage style cards that I can make!

Don't forget to nab all the retiring products that you want before the current catalogue disappears.  Just head to my online store to browse it all!
Don't forget the Share What You Love promotion as well as my May Online ordering special.  Read about it HERE

Thanks again for dropping in and make sure to hop around and see the other great projects using sneak peek products from the new catalogue!

Thank you gifts

Welcome to the April Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop!  I'm thrilled to be hopping with demonstrators from around the world!  Make sure to follow the blog hop links below so you don't miss any inspiration.
Our theme this month is to focus on tools.
Did you know Wednesday was Administrative Assistants Day?
My husband absolutely knows that he must include handmade gifts whenever he is thanking people because a gift you have purchased is nice but a gift with a handmade touch is extra special.

He commissioned our daughter to make French Macrons.  (See the story of  how the French Macrons entered our home at this blog post)

Here are a few of her macrons.

Then I was called upon to develop the packaging for the macrons.

Here's the wrapped gift.  Sweet and Simple.  I decided to use the retiring Peek a Boo Peach colour because it seemed cheerful and lovely for spring.  Don't miss out on retiring colours and items!  Shop now on my online store.

It was so easy and satisfying to make this.  I used some white gift boxes and wrapped the striped ribbon around...making sure that the ends were long to drape over the box.  For some reason using lots of ribbon makes the gift seem more extravagant to me because I'm not being stingy with the ribbon.
Maybe no one else would understand but for me to use LOTS of Stampin' Up! ribbon means that I really like you!  You are so amazing that you deserve LOTS of precious, high quality Stampin' Up! ribbon.

Here's the fun part that involves tools...
I stamped the flower and sentiment from the Cake Soiree set and punched it out with a 1 1/2" circle punch.  I then punched out the Peek a boo Peach cardstock with the 1 3/4" circle punch.  The two circles layered perfectly.  I then punched a tiny hole with the 1/16" circle punch and used the silver bakers twine.

Circle punches are a "must have".  I used them to make little tags but also to layer onto card fronts.

Thanks for letting me share my project today and thanks for dropping in! Make sure to hop around and see other project ideas using various tools!

Ink and Inspiration March Blog Hop

Once again this month I am thrilled to be able to blog hop with demonstrators around the world.  The theme this month is bunnies and chocolate.

I tried and tried but I couldn't get into the bunny zone so I decided to focus on the chocolate part.

I just recently learned how to make an origami pouch based on a video from Julie DiMatteo so I thought I would make one with my own twist.

Of course I had to reach for some Saleabration goodies to make my pouch because these items will be gone soon and I don't want you to miss a thing!

I decided to use the Bubbles and Fizz Designer Series Paper.

There's so many fun designs and colours in this paper!

I chose to use the Bermuda Bay colour with the stars for the paper and added some shimmer ribbon (also a saleabration freebie).  The ribbon matched the paper perfectly!

Such a cute little pouch!  It holds just a few little chocolates.

It is kind of hard to explain how to make the pouch so I decided to do a video  I also post the supply list at the end of this post.

I hope you enjoyed todays project featuring chocolate and some saleabration products.  Don't forget saleabration is an amazing time of year to shop or join my team. Saleabration means free stuff!
If you need a reminder of all the saleabration perks you can read this previous blog post.

Of course if you need to shop to take advantage of the freebies, head to my online store

Thanks for dropping in today!  Make sure to hop through to visit the blogs of the other demonstrators participating ! The list is below.
Don't forget to keep visiting my blog every day as I continue my Saleabration blogging streak until March 31st!

February Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop

Hello!  I am thrilled once again to be hopping with international demonstrators on the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop!

The theme this month is Take Inspiration: Case the Logo.

Hmmm.  The first thing I see when looking at the logo is the pink tones.  It must be because pink is one of my favourite colours!

So, the card that I will share today is this cute card using the Hedgehug stamp set.

I'll admit the Hedgehugs stamp set was one of the first on my wish list but I had a hard time creating with it! However, when I use pink something is going to be created no matter what! You just can't go wrong with pink! So I started with a Powder Pink card base and just went from there!

I have to say the Powder Pink shimmer ribbon just makes me very very happy.
Don't forget to take advantage of shopping during saleabration where you get a free product with every $60 order! The full supply list is below.

Thanks so much for dropping in!  Make sure to click on the links below and hop around to see other great projects!
