stampin4fun: Creating for Christ 2024

What a blessing it was to organize another Creating for Christ event this year.

This is a unique and special class that I've been doing annually for quite a few years now.

It started out of a desire to share with other women a bit of my spiritual journey and the freedom of understanding that I was created to be in relationship with God and created to enjoy the many blessings in my life...such as crafting.

Early in my crafting journey I carried a sense of shame and guilt about my enjoyment of stamping. I felt I should use my time in more "honourable" pursuits like spending time with my kids, serving others, doing productive things like laundry or cleaning the house.

Through a journey of prayer and discovery, I came to understand that taking time for myself to craft and enjoy was in fact a gift and a blessing and an act of worship too!

I was excited to share that with other women and organized a Creating for Christ event.

Since then, each year there seems to be a new learning that I'm eager to share with others so every year another Creating for Christ event arrived.

We even did one during the pandemic over zoom! (See the recap blog post on that one HERE)

This year's theme was

"Come to Me"

Based around this passage:

'Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”'

Matthew 11:28-30
