Learning, Growing, Team Building

What a week it's been and it's not over yet.

I flew down to Utah last week for work.

My reputation proceeds me and I am blessed to receive gifts on my first day at the office.

The office organized a leadership summit for staff leaders in the company.

It still seems somewhat surreal for me to be working as a staff member for Stampin' Up!  I've loved (and still love) being an independent demonstrator for the company but to be an employee in the company is extremely humbling because I know I have a lot to learn still but I can tell I am a respected staff member.

The great thing about the culture of this company is that everyone works hard and wants to help one another and help demonstrators.

My head is very full of ideas, trying to remember the names of new people I've met and of how I can better my best as a demonstrator and as a staff member.

I've also loved the time with the other demonstrator development managers.  There are 12 of us world wide and 10 of us were able to come in person to this leadership event and stay for a team working retreat.

I know we'll work better together now that we've had time to spend some quality in person time together.  It's also easier to collaborate in person as we are all working on our presentations for the upcoming onstage convention events throughout the world.

We've still got three more days together before I fly home but I thought I'd share a few photos.

A team building activity at the summit was to pull task from a bucket and complete the task.  Our task was to make a bird using the craft supplies provided
It was pretty challenging but here is our finished creation. We named him Henri. (I had to give him a French name since he was a pretty exotic bird)

One of my team mates invited us all over to his home for a superbowl party. I thought it was so kind and hospitable.  It was a perfect activity especially for the international team members who are from Europe and the South pacific.
We watched the game and ate fantastic "all american" food.

Tonight after a full day of meetings and presentations we had a simple team building activity of candle making.
The candle making was not at all complicated but it gave us lots of time to chat with each other.  (which I suppose was the point)

After a satisfying candle making experience, we took one more photo then off to bed as we have another long day of meetings, discussion and presentations tomorrow.

Just thought I'd share what I've been busy with.  I'm sorry if you've emailed and I haven't gotten back to you yet.  Each day is so full it's hard to reply to emails but I will definitely work on catching up when I'm back next week.
Thanks for dropping in!
