Chemisty and Valentines

Hello Friends!  I am back from an intense almost two weeks in Salt Lake City!  I know I already shared some photos of the experience in this Blog post.

Today I thought I would share the project from last week's video as well as how I spent my Valentines day.

First the project: (check out the full supply list at the end of this blog post)

I had so much fun making this card!
First, I loved the specialty designer series paper Most Adored.

It is tooo gorgeous.
I felt like the gold swirls could be part of the background like a crazy chemical reaction.
This paper is a free gift during saleabration!
I stamped on this paper using Bubble bath ink

This is the sweet valentine I left for Kevin on my desk before I ran off to the airport.
This way he had something to open from me on Valentines day.

And make sure to shop while the amazing saleabration promotion is on so you can get your free gift too!
Yes!  A free gift with every $60 spend no limit!
Of course it was a little sad that I couldn't be with Kevin on Valentines day but to be honest after over 25 years of marriage, every day is Valentines day to us.
We knew we would get to spend time together when I got home.
So the actual day of Feb 14th was spent with my colleagues at the Stampin' Up! home office.
I received gifts.
Yes, my boss gave me a bag of chips as a gift and we all got handmade Valentines cards from him.
Pretty impressive right????

There was an employee appreciation lunch.  Since I don't work in the home office I have no idea how often they have employee appreciation lunch but I felt grateful to be able to attend this one.

In the evening, it was Valentines dinner with my work team (who by this time, I am starting of think of them as my work family).  A couple of team members invited their spouses.  It was great to enjoy the food and company together.

Before dinner I was told about a place that sold great thick milkshakes.
I thought it would be a good idea to try one.
It was large and it was thick!
Actually, I would consider it ice cream...not a milkshake at all!

Don't worry, I didn't eat it all before dinner.

It doesn't matter that I tried to control my eating while in the USA.
I gained 3 pounds anyway.

Why is it so much easier to gain weight rather than lose weight?

That is the question I will leave you with today!

Thanks for dropping in!
