This year's annual Stampin' Up! convention is sure different! I didn't have to pack luggage or fly anywhere. I didn't prepare a million swap cards. Although I knew the event was coming up I didn't really start thinking about it until a couple of weeks ago.
I wasn't sure what to expect of a virtual convention. I knew not seeing many of my friends would be a real loss. Thank goodness for technology because we can use it to stay connected.
I have to run to get organized for today's session. (by get organized I mean study the new catalogue which I can view online, and cut my paper for the stamping projects) so I'll just post a few photos and highlights from yesterday.
I mentioned earlier in the week to my husband Kevin that the recognition portion of the convention was Thursday evening and asked if he wanted to watch it with me. He agreed.
I was so touched when he came home from work Thursday with flowers. I was in the midst of mad cutting and it was so sweet that he thought to buy them for me BEFORE the awards night. It made me feel great because I knew even if I didn't place in any top numbers, I was still special to him and that's really what counts right?
Does he know me or does he know me???
So, with chips and dip on my lap and Kevin by my side, and Team STIC one tap away on our special On Stage @ Home facebook group, I was ready to kick off the event! I logged onto the platform early and enjoyed the music and the countdown to the start of the event.
I love the effort that Stampin' Up! put into trying to make the event fun and special. We were able to add on a swag component to our registration (talk about happy mail when that box arrived!) and even though they couldn't host the usual dinner for those titled at Silver Elite and above, we all still received a practical gift of paper snips with a fancy scissor charm.
There were stamping demonstration and lots of recognition and celebration.
I was so proud to see so many Team STIC stampers on the list of various achievements.
I was also blessed and humbled to receive some recognition as well!

Wow!
Thank you to all who support my stamping journey and especially to God who makes all things possible and gives such good gifts.
So I'm ready for another day of On Stage @ Home (Even though I'm not in salt lake city and I don't have to cart any swaps or stampin' supplies through the convention center, I still love my On Stage bag!)
If being a part of the Stampin' Up! family looks fun to you, let me tell you IT IS!
Come jump in and join my team! Anyone can join!
