A hike and a Luau

The time in Hawaii is flying  by so fast!   Here's what we did yesterday:
The day started off with an early bus ride to Diamond Head Park.  We did a great hike to the summit and the view was beautiful.  These pictures do not do it justice at all.

Then back to the hotel to wash up and hit the hospitality suite to eat some candy and spin the prize wheel for more new Stampin' Up! product.
Lunch time!  Where should we go?  Let's wander around the streets until something strikes our fancy.  Oh!  A restaurant called "Da Big Kahuna"  Sounds good!  It turns out I wouldn't really call it a restaurant.  It was more like a bar...but it was happy hour and our simple meal and Kevin's beer was half price!

We were really looking forward to the evening because we had arranged to go to a Luau with our friends Sandy and Dave.  Kevin and I met Sandy and Dave on our very first incentive trip a few years back and it was also Sandy's first trip.  We had so much in common and the guys hit it off so well so we made sure to set some time together on this trip.
From what a gather, a Luau is a party, Hawaiian style.

There were all different activities to enjoy such as tattoo painting,

Weaving palm leaves into a headpiece was another activity.  We also did some kind of Hawaiian lawn bowling activity and watched the workers pull a roast big out of their special inground oven.

After the activities, there was a yummy dinner and then a show of polynesian culture and dancing.
Audience involvement was encouraged so Kevin and Dave went up on stage to learn the hula dance.
They even received their own certificate for doing a great job.

Another blessed and beautiful day here in Hawaii!  Stay tuned for more of our adventures!
Aloha!
