Happy Holidays Stampin4fun Bingo!

Today I wanted to shine a spotlight on a favourite stampin' class: Stampin4fun Bingo night! 

When I thought about what sort of Stampin' fun we could have in December, a Bingo night came to mind because who doesn't want to relax and play games when we're on vacation? 

It turns out the third Saturday when I usually have my classes falls on Dec. 19th and that's the first day of Christmas vacation for my husband and kids.  School will be done and vacation time will officially start. 

Let's play together at the Hello Holidays Stampin4fun Bingo Class! 

In case you've never joined in Stampin' Bingo night before here's what  you need to know: 

You'll receive 3 cardmaking projects.  Everything will be pre-cut for you and any necessary embellishments included. 

A special gift from me. (likely half a package of Whale Done Designer Paper)

You'll receive a little "pillow gift" Holiday treat from me

You'll receive a Bingo card that you can use during the game portion of the evening

It's a cardmaking class where we'll play some rounds of Bingo for some fun, crafty prizes! 

Since everyone gets to make the cards and receives the gift and treat from me, we're all winners! 

The cost for the class is $40.  If you need your packet mailed to your door, it will be an extra $5. 

I thought it was too late to be making Christmas cards at our Hello Holidays Bingo event so we'll be making cards that would be good for New years, Valentines and general celebration.

Bingo fun and the rest of the fall lineup

We had a great evening last night at Back to school Bingo! This bingo event was the first event of fall and for the holiday catalogue!

Here's some photos:  its back to school bingo so we needed back to school gifts of course! Everyone received a chalk marker and paperclip embellishments.  I also handed out little treats made with the new cat punch in the catalogue! (Thanks Jo Anne Rodgers for the tutorial!) So even though not everyone could win a bingo prize, everyone did go home as a winner with these little gifts! 

We played bingo but of course we also stamped with new catalogue product! It was fun to show how so much of the holiday catalogue product can be used for non-Christmas creations!  Here are a couple of the cards we stamped. 

A fall/thanksgiving card using the Labels to Love stamp set. (And the new champagne foil paper! Swoon!)

A thank you card using the Painted Harvest stamp set. The colours are sweet sugarplum and crumb cake. I cased this from something I saw on the internet but I can not find it again. If this is your design please let me know so I can give you credit!

Bingo is such a fun event that I love to inject into my class schedule every now and then! I'm not sure when I will do the next one but stay tuned!  In the meantime, check out my class schedule below. I'm trying some new things and you don't want to miss out! September 27^th 7pm Free Ladies Night at Sweet and Simple Class: You read it right!  Sweet and simple class this month is FREE to any lady who has never stamped with me before!  Don’t worry if you’ve stamped with me before.  You can come for free too!  Just bring a friend who has never stamped with me.  Both of you will enjoy the sweet and simple cards on the house this month! We’ll make 4 beautiful all occasion cards using new product and we’ll relax and snack and socialize.  It’s a great evening out!  RSVP required. October 2^nd  10am or7pm: Technique class Learn fun techniques for your cards.    We typically meet on the first Monday of the month.   You will have at least three beautiful projects to take home.  Cost: $20 or free with minimum $30 purchase.  Become a member and enjoy a free catalogue, raffle draws, birthday discount and hostess freebies.  RSVP required  Morning technique RSVP HERE   Evening technique class RSVP HERE

October 25^th 7pm: Sweet and Simple Class: The monthly sweet and simple class, usually the last Wednesday of the month, is the perfect class to come and enjoy and unwind.  This is a great class for the brand new and experienced crafter.  We’ll make 4 pretty cards for only $15 or FREE with an order (min. $25).  RSVP required.

October 25th 6:30pm: Sorry for Everything Stamp a Stack: Make 8 cards using the new Sorry for Everything Stamp Set.  This class will get you prepared for those occasions when you need sympathy, get well or thinking of you cards.  This class is an excellent value for $40 since you make 8 cards AND get the stamp set included to take home.  Can’t make the date?  Take it 2 go! You’ll receive the card pieces and embellishments and photographs.  Just use your own ink to finish the cards  RSVP and payment required by October 12^th.

November 25^th 9am-onwards: Santa’s Workshop  Choose your class: 1) create 20 Christmas cards using the watercolor Christmas kit. 2) Create 8 fancy tags with box sure to dress up your gifts 3) Create a beautiful holiday home décor frame.  Then choose your time slot: 9-11:30, 11:30-2, 2-4:30.  Choose one class or choose all three! Just want to come and work on your own projects? Then choose the Craft and Chat all day option.  Each option is $35. November 29^th 6:30pm: Night in Bethlehem Stamp a Stack: Make 8 cards using the beautiful Night in Bethlehem Stamp set.  These cards have beautiful Christian images and sentiments appropriate for the Christmas season.   This class is an excellent value for $40 since you make 8 cards AND get the stamp set included to take home. Be Mine Bingo Fun

The point of being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator to me is the fun and friendship.  A while back I decided it was time to try something new.  I had heard about some demonstrator friends in the states who did Stampin' Bingo nights.  A-ha!  A bingo night sounded like the perfect event for fun and friendship!
I have probably spent a year figuring out how it might work and how to organize it. I questioned my friends Christi and Jennifer endlessly about how they ran their Bingo nights.  Of course they each do it a little differently.  Also my business coach had done an audio training about running a Stampin' Bingo night so I probably listened to the training at least 4 times.  I mulled it around in my head trying to picture step by step how the whole thing would go.  I think the biggest problem was that although I knew the general idea of Bingo, I had never in my life ever been to a real Bingo Hall or Bingo tournament so I couldn't quite picture how the whole thing was supposed to run and I didn't know how to transition between the Bingo and the stamping.

Just like so many other things in life, I figured I just had to try it in order to understand how it would work.  I told myself it couldn't be that bad a disaster because there would be stamping and chocolate and nice ladies so I may as well give it a go.  I'm so glad I did.  It was a riot!

Here's some pictures of my first ever Stampin' Bingo night.

I had a cage with Bingo balls and this calling card so I could keep track of what numbers have been called.  I had no idea how fast or slow I was supposed to call the numbers but the ladies sure let me know when I was calling them too fast. :-)

Of course, in fun, many ladies blamed me that their numbers weren't called.  I kept an innocent face and explained over and over "this is a game of chance"  I did a lot of giggling throughout the evening.  I couldn't help it!  The whole thing just seemed so funny to me!

After three rounds of Bingo, we took a break for some stamping.  Here's some of the ladies smiling.  (must've been all that valentines chocolate!)

I guess some ladies were too busy talking and eating chocolate that they didn't notice they totally missed stamping a word on their card.  The sentiment is supposed to say "Crazy About You"

Several girls forgot to stamp the "you".  So their card just said "Crazy About". 

More laughing from me. I was picturing the person receiving the card.  What would they think...receiving a card that just said "Crazy About"  What is that supposed to mean? 

Now I had laid out the rules for the evening right at the beginning.  One of the rules was that if there were two people that called Bingo at the same time, they would have to do Rock, Paper, Scissors to determine the true winner.  The other person would receive a consolation prize from my bucket of gifts that I had available. 

Wouldn't you know, on the grand prize, final round Pam and Valerie both got Bingo at the same time.  The grand prize round has the biggest prize.  Here is a shot of their ferocious rock, paper, scissors battle.   

All in all it was really a fun evening out! I can't wait for the next one!  I've decided it will be Spring Fling Bingo on May 12th.  Mark your calendars and plan to come out!  Or schedule me for your own private bingo event.  We could even make it a fundraiser!  ooooo the possibilities!

Even though not everyone won a prize from the prize table, I think everyone was a winner because everyone went home with a brand new pack of blushing bride glimmer paper and three cute make n takes.  (we got to use brand new sale-a-bration items that go live next week!  Eeek!)

sweet pressed and bingo

Sorry I have not posted in so long.  So busy!!!!  I have so much to share but no time to post.  Here's some pictures of the fun I was having last weekend.  There are a group of girls I get together with a few times a year.  Every December, we do a cookie exchange.  Of course I had to use the new sweet pressed cookie stamps!  I felt I had to wrap the cookies nicely this year because I was attempting to compensate for the fact that I had no handmade Christmas cards to go with them!!!  I am madly working on getting my Christmas cards done but I definately didn't have any ready to go last weekend so here are the cookies:  Do you think the wrapping compensated for the lack of card?

I also tried something my downline Shelley showed me:  Chocolates made with the sweet pressed cookie stamp:

I also wanted to share a picture of the bingo cards Salena made for me.  I loaned her my stamp set and this is what she created for me.  It'll be perfect for playing with the kids over the holidays!
