I was so happy last weekend to enjoy the first in person Creating for Christ event in a long while.
I didn't take as many pictures as I should have in order to capture the spirit of the event.
I wanted something simple yet meaningful.
The theme was Be Still.
There's so much noise and distraction in the world around us and in life I wanted this event to be a place where we could shelter away from that and be more present.
Our time together started with some music then into a time of silence and bible reading and more silence. The theme was Be Still after all!
It is a practice and skill to learn to be still and quiet and be okay with silence.
After some discussion we dived into the projects I had prepared special for this event.
A giant thank you to my helper and Team STIC sister Melissa who cut all the pieces for the projects and was an extra pair of hands at the event to help with all the little details.
There were three different projects this year and they were all a bit extra special.
We made a home decor sampler:
A gift card holder: (Thank you Tyla Darley for your swap card that I used for this project)
And a special Easel card
I think everyone enjoyed making the projects and especially the finished result.
It made me so happy to see one participant just holding her finished sampler and admiring it.
The event finished off with a couple of special gifts:
I made a shrinky dink scissor charm for everyone using one of the stamps in the feature stamp set.
(sorry forgot to take a photo of the actual charms I made)
As well, to continue the celebration of my 15 years as a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, I gifted everyone with a logo pop socket. (I think that's what they are called?)
The event finished off with us enjoying lunch together (yummy greek food) and chatting.
My heart is happy!
I feel so blessed that I get to be a Stampin' Up! demonstrator and curate crafting experiences for women.
Are you looking for something special to do with your friends? I'm happy to help! No crafting experience required. I customize experiences for all price points, age and experience levels.
