Last week was the "last" crafty session with clients from Northwind Family Ministries.
We made these darling valentines cards using the all inclusive paper pumpkin kit.
I put "last" in quotations because they were so disappointed there wasn't another crafty night planned that I felt compelled to leave the door open for another session and that's why I'm doing a flash fundraiser!
You'll make 10 different cards using the Memories and More card kit and the cost is $45 and includes a donation to this cause. You can make the cards on your own time at your leisure using the tutorials provided. If you'd like to participate, please register by Feb. 19th. HERE
On another note, I'm happy to say I did get a few valentines cards out in the mail.
I sent my friends Lee-Ann and Gloria matching valentines cards since we tend to like to do matchy things together. I think this came about from our days when we were university roommates and bought matching sweatshirts. Our old sweatshirts are falling apart so Gloria bought us new shirts recently since her daughter just started her first year at Queen's (our Alma Mater)
I was very happy my card to Lee-Ann arrived in Scotland in time. She sent me a picture of the card on her table.
Gloria got her card on the same day even though she just lives 25 minutes away from me (I don't understand the postal system at all!) She sent me a picture of her happiness with her card too.
I really believe that sending cards in the mail is like sending a handmade hug! It can brighten someone's day! When was the last time you sent a card?
Full details on the card can be found in this old blog post HERE
I also decorated a few treats for the family!
A simple chocolate bar can look so much fancier when you dress it up with our beautiful designer series paper and pretty coordinating embellishments. (I'll put the supply list below)
I received a Valentines gift from my hubby yesterday...he knows I prefer food over flowers so he ordered this fun charcuterie box
I'm still hoping we get to go out for dinner tonight too!
Happy Valentines day to you! Thank you for dropping in!
