The past spring I had the honour to organize crafty zoom sessions with clients and contacts of Northwind Family Ministries. Northwind primarily serves Indigenous and low income families in Thunder Bay and Northern reserves. It was so wonderful that so many offered to sponsor crafting kits to send up to Northern Ontario. We helped to provide a healthy, fun, social activity during a very difficult time during the pandemic.
Due to confidentiality, I don't have any photos of the Northwind clients enjoying their crafty time but you'll just have to take my word that they really enjoyed the experience and were so grateful for the craft boxes that were sponsored! Everyone worked on the same kits and it was so fun to see them sharing their cards with me and one another.
The feedback from the sessions was positive and there was a request to do it again during the winter months since it could be so dark, cold and isolating.

It is so great to combine my love of sharing stamping while making a difference with an organization that does work I am passionate about.
Now that things seem to be opening up a little bit in Ontario, I'm hoping that in the not too distant future I'll be able to go up north again and serve (and share crafting) again...in person!
