Hello! Today's the last day of the saleabration streak on my blog!
I hope you enjoyed the seven straight days of saleabration themed samples.
Here's today's sample! It is a swap card I received from Linda (from Yam Stamps)
I thought it was such a clever way to use the Counting Sheep Stamp set and coordinating dies.
There's not a single sheep in sight! (Remember, you get the sheep stamp set or dies FREE with your $60 order as a part of the great saleabration promotion! )
Her balloons were extra shimmery since she used the shimmer in color vellum that is in the annual catalogue.
I'll paste the supply list at the end of this blog post for you
I thought I'd share a birthday card as my sample today because today is my oldest son's birthday!
Ethan is 20!
Whaaaaat! Wasn't it just yesterday I was in the hospital delivering my first born child?
No more teenager!
We couldn't do our usual family tradition of going out for dinner tonight because Ethan is in Ottawa doing a university coop term but we did see him a couple of weeks ago on camping trip #3 and took him out to dinner then.
For those of you following our summer camping adventures, here's some photos from Camping Trip #3: Rideau River
It was a complete blessing that Kevin booked this campsite as we had no idea at the time of booking that Ethan would be working in Ottawa but this was the first camping trip that I was very excited about because I could have all my family together in one place.
This camping trip there were plans to canoe/kayak and visit Ottawa.
The weather called for rain on one of the days so Kevin made sure to put a lot of effort to put a tarp over the tent and carefully determine where to set up the tent so we wouldn't have a replay of the ocean of water we experienced under the tent in Camping Trip #1.
It was the first time eating inside a restaurant in a really really long time!
Since Ethan is studying Occupational Health and Safety, Kevin thought this old poster from the war museum would be of interest! |
We also enjoyed some hiking and time with friends so Camping Trip #3 was enjoyable! (I am still of the mindset that we could have done all the above activities minus the campfires, by staying in a hotel! )
Camping Trip #4 last week was to Algonquin Park
Do you notice I am missing from this photo? It's because I decided to take a break from the camping streak. A girl has to let the mosquito bites heal and honestly what kind of dedicated Stampin' Up! demonstrator would I be to disappear the week that a new catalogue goes live????
As you can see, they scored a really great campsite right on the lake. I didn't really feel like I was missing out because I took the time to meet up with some friends and get a long overdue massage!!!
I think Kevin has decided to skip camping trip #5...maybe he needs a break too!
Our plan is to get back to it in a couple of weeks with Camping Trip #6 to LongPoint Provincial park on Lake Erie.
I seriously hope my mosquito bites will be mostly healed by then and all my August class packets will be in the post by then too! Grin.
Thanks for dropping in and I hope you enjoyed my saleabration streak and this update on our family summer camping experience!
