Easter treats using Hippo Happiness

It doesn't matter how long I've been a Stampin' Up! demonstrator.  I'll never forget that at the most basic level I stamp because I enjoy it and because I enjoy making special things for my loved ones.

Don't get me wrong.  I think it's super awesome that this is my "job" and I get rewarded with cash, free product and exotic trips but even without that I would still stamp!

I took some time yesterday to stamp some packaging for Easter treats for my kids.

When I looked at my collection of stamps I realized I had a real shortage of Easter stamps!

It took me a little while to settle on what stamps I wanted to use.

I finally decided on Hippo Happiness because of the cute lamb.
The lamb is a perfect Easter symbol since Jesus "is the lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world"
I also used "A Wish for Everything" since there were some lovely Easter sentiments in there.

Here's what I made!

I created a little bag using an envelope.  This envelope turned bag trick is called a "bagalope"
I haven't made a "bagalope" in a long time but it seemed like a perfect and simple option.  Our envelopes are perfect for stamping on.  I jazzed the top up by using the die found in the Peony Dies.  Isn't it a lovely decorated edge?
The bag was the perfect size to hold these little Easter eggs I bought.
(If you want to know how to make a bagalope, tune in to my regular crafting session this Tuesday 2pm eastern on my facebook page.  I'll try to remember to show you.  It's so easy! )

Next packaging to create was something for these Cow Chips.  I ordered them all the way from P.E.I.!
I was introduced to the Anne of Green Gables Chocolate from a team member who works there.
Once I tasted the chocolate from there I was hooked!
If you know me, you know I love chips so chocolate covered chips seem like a excellent treat.
I was a bit stumped about how to create packaging for this treat.

I contemplated making a box but then decided that  belly band was the simplest option.

I'll paste all the supplies I used on these two projects below.  I hope you feel inspired to create some treat packets for your loved ones too!
I hope my kids enjoy their treats!
Thanks for dropping in!
