Hi! I'm excited today because I was lucky enough to be invited to join in the InKing Royalty Blog hop. The InKing Royalty is Brian King's Stamping team.
Brian and I met on one of the Stampin' Up! trips. We can't recall which one but it's always nice to catch up and chat with Brian.
This month Brian and I did a sharing swap with our teams. He shared some stories and inspiration with the Team STIC stampers and I shared some stamping and stories with his Inking Royalty Team.
After I had the pleasure of sharing with his team, he asked if I wanted to join their blog hop this month.
Sure! Why not? It's just more stamping fun!
So, I understand the theme is balloons.
Balloons are fun! I hope after you read my post you'll hop on to the next blog listed below.
I had fun playing with the Hey Birthday Chick stamp set.
I had fun playing with the Hey Birthday Chick stamp set.
I seem to be in a "Basic Black" streak. (Did you see my card from last week's live session? See how it also uses Basic Black as the cardstock base)
Black and white has such a dramatic effect but the card needed a pop of colour. I went for Rococo Rose highlights since pink is a favourite colour of mine!
I just love that little chick in the stamp set so I decided to use that image to create the background. I punched out a 2" circle for the sentiment and to add the Rococo rose highlights...
Blending Brushes to the rescue! If you haven't tried these beauties you absolutely NEED to get a set. The sponging effect is so soft and smooth.
Other pink highlights were added with a Rococo Rose balloon punch out, some pink twine and a strip of the Love you Always Specialty Designer Series Paper.
I couldn't resist adding a little glamour by using the Wink of Stella Glimmer Brush over the balloon!
I hope you enjoy my balloon project! The complete supply list is below. Thanks for dropping in!
Thanks to the InKing Royalty Team and Brian King for letting me crash your hop this month! I hope you'll hop along to Shawn de Oliveira at Shawn Stamps who I believe is next on the list. I'll paste the full list below. Don't miss any of the inspiring balloon projects the InKing Royalty team has to share with you!

ReplyDeleteHi Pam! Thanks for letting me join in!
DeleteAwesome you're hopping with us! So many faves on your card: black diagonals, rococo rose, chickies, and blending brushes!!! I'm a little weird with the diagonals, prefer them to run uphill like this card does. :) Love the touch of DSP.
ReplyDeleteI"m so glad you enjoyed!
DeleteI absolutely love the black-and-white backdrop on your card, Genevieve! Definitely adds drama! The blending brush adds a beautiful touch of color around your sentiment. Such a great card! So happy you hopped with our team today! ♥
