Holiday Happenings

I hope you've been enjoying some quiet holiday activities.  I've been lazy and relaxed and glad for the change in routine.
Here's a few photos of my holiday happenings.  I find it interesting that stamping always manages to find it's way into my activities even when I'm not "working".
I think it's pretty awesome that my job is my happy hobby too!

In our family tradition, Christmas morning involves opening stockings, enjoying a full breakfast together (with bacon...must have bacon), singing Christmas carols to focus on the meaning of the season and then opening gifts.

I wondered if when the kids got older they would still enjoy the tradition with us but they did!
The only difference is that they don't sing the carols but they still chose some songs and appeared to listen enthusiastically while Kevin and I sang!

We had Christmas dinner with family over zoom
The day before we had cooked up a turkey for both sets of parents and dropped the food off.

Dropping the food off allowed for a nice winter drive

And a socially distanced chat

Here we are in my parents garage

I made up a few little packets to share with some neighbours on my street.

The following post Christmas lazy days included napping, watching TV and playing board games.  It has been eons but I finally won a game of Cities and Knights.  (I hardly ever win!)

A really big highlight of the holiday was visiting with my university roommates Lee-Ann and Gloria.
These friends are like family to me!
Lee-Ann normally lives in Scotland now but she managed to come to Canada to visit her parents.
We met in a parking lot in Orangeville and had a really good socially distanced 2 hour visit!
It's amazing how talking from within our cars with the windows open and the snow falling, was so rejuvenating and so much improved over our zoom chats.
We finished off our conversation by dreaming of better days and talking about the special 50th birthday girls vacation we're planning to take in 2022.  (our last girlfriends getaway was to Scotland which you can read about HERE and HERE)

Kevin was thinking it would be fun to do New Years Eve over zoom with our church small group so he ran out and bought some non alcoholic bubbly and party hats to drive around to our friends.
I couldn't resist decorating the bags a tiny bit!

Did you know the Tag Buffet Project kit (currently on sale for 50% off!) has pieces which also work really well for New Years?  I think they would also work great for graduations too!  The Gold foil elements in the tags are the best!

Well, those are my holiday happenings.  I'll try to slowly get back to my regular stampin' work routine but I'm sure it will be hard with the family all lounging around.  I'll be tempted to slack off and watch TV and eat chips and nap!
However, with the amazing Saleabration promotion going live on January 5th, I'm sure I'll have more to post on the blog soon!
Thanks for dropping in!
