Weekend Activities

Happy Monday!  I had quite a full weekend.  Here's some photos of the activities.
Don't be shy to comment and let me know what you did this past weekend.  As the cooler weather comes, I'm trying to get outside as much as possible before we are trapped indoors again! Also I feel being outdoors with others is safer than being indoors...even though we are all doing our part staying physically distant.

Friday evening started out with a little visit at the community garden.  I did some volunteering at the local garden simply because I love the idea of organic, fresh food but I DO NOT have a green thumb.
This is a way I can enjoy learning about gardening from other more experienced people and enjoy watching things grow.

Our garden produced one watermelon which someone had saved so we could enjoy it together. Friday was the watermelon cutting day!

Saturday our church celebrated the 5th year of our building in Markham.  There was a donation drop off/parking lot party.  We dropped off donations for the food pantry and then were allowed to spend one hour socializing in the parking lot (with masks and physical distancing of course)
It was so great to see some church friends for real!!!

I convinced Kevin that we should go for a date night since who knows how many more restaurant patio meals we can get before it's too cold.

We went to a local Italian restaurant (which before COVID I rarely frequented but since COVID have gone to twice because they have a patio and local neighborhood folk raved about the food. )

Every time I eat fresh pasta I am transported back to my time in Italy on past Stampin' Up! incentive trips. I love fresh pasta.  It makes me wonder why I even bother with that dried stuff in bags that we buy from the grocery store.  There is absolutely no comparison whatsoever!

I spent Sunday stamping and designing for October classes.  I was pretty happy with this 12 card Christmas card class which is a perfect to-go class for beginners and avid stampers alike...because there is no stamping involved!

Here's the details:

Sunday evening was dinner outside with some friends from church.

So that was my weekend!  I hope you are staying safe and finding ways to socialize in safe ways too.
