If you're not familiar with this weekend get away, let me tell you more about it.
It's a weekend that I organize twice a year at a hotel in Midland Ontario. Women are invited to come and bring whatever they would like to do. The vibe is meant to be relaxed and a little bit pampering.
Let's face it. Women are always busy, busy, busy and there's not enough time for self-care.
It's so great for me to see women chatting and relaxing and crafting the weekend away. There's no laundry to be done, no dishes to wash and no cooking!
Food just arrives in the adjacent ballroom and napping whenever you want is encouraged.
There's also loads of creative inspiration. All you have to do is walk around and you will see so many different project ideas and it just sparks more creativity!
I would say most of the ladies are either working on cardmaking or scrapbooking but over the years we've had knitters, sewers, painters and jewelry makers! Everyone welcome!

The room is set up so that each lady has lots of table space to spread out and craft. In addition, they have access to borrowing all my tools throughout the weekend.
Doors open at 2pm on the Friday afternoon and some ladies arrive right away and get set up and start crafting. There is no need to tidy up your space each evening because you can stay as late as you want and just return to your spot the next morning and continue on!
This time we had a sweet treats theme. Team S.T.I.C girl and helper Melissa made darling table displays. Of course we could eat the candy too!
It's so fun to walk around and see what women were creating and how the set up their space.
I love to give little surprise treats throughout the weekend. I was very touched by the women who took the time to gift me with some surprise treats too!!
