Doing some Glamping and Stamping!

At the last stamp camp a lovely attendee named Heather invited me to do a Stampin' Social.  She owns a campground called Cedar Valley Resort.
If you invite me to do a Stampin' Social I will come!  A stampin' social at a campground sounded fun!  I've done Stampin' Socials in school libraries, church basements, my basement, in dining rooms and kitchens...but I've never done one at a campground.  There's a first for everything!

I thought it would be nice to stay at the campground with the family so I booked one of the cabins.  I was pretty sure I didn't want to do tent camping but camping in a cabin sounded pretty acceptable. I suppose it's not really camping...I've heard it's called "glamping"  ie. glamorous camping!

Here's a few photos:

I thought the cabin thing was great because there was a toilet and running water in a cabin but we could still enjoy traditional camping things like a campfire and roasting marshmallows and eating outdoors.

I'll admit I was a little nervous how the stamping portion would go because we were going to do the stamping under a pavilion on the campground.  What if there was a blowing rainstorm?
Fortunately the weather was fine and I think all the ladies had fun!

I thought it was so cute how Heather advertised the event along with the other camp activities.

Here's just one of the cards we made. I hope this card inspires your creative mojo.  When there is a big group of ladies who may not have stamped before, I like to keep the cards fairly simple so everyone can enjoy the experience. I figured everyone can use a birthday card.

Thanks for dropping in!  Make sure to contact me to book your own Stampin' Social!  They are so fun!  You invite the friends and I bring the entertainment!  It's a great way for you to get some free stampin' goodies too!
