Before we left on Sunday for the resort, we had a party at church.
A party at Church?
Yup! Our church, Cornerstone Christian Community Church turned 20 years old! I can hardly believe it. Kevin and I have been with this church community since the very beginning so I'm so glad we didn't miss the celebration in favour of playing at a water park longer.
Here’s some photos of the fun! Our church has recently grown to have two service times. 9:30 am and 11:30 am. So the party was in between at around 10:45
The service was extra special...it started with a rap song by our own friendly neighborhood youth pastor. (writing rap songs and performing is one of his hobbies) and the rest of the service was filled with nostalgic stories of the many many experiences and miracles that have led to where our church community is now.
The party in between services consisted of cake, dance party led by attendees who own a dance studio, mingling and many photographs!
Here I am with my friend Emily. We've been friends since high school and we were one of the originals together when our church started. We were discussing perhaps we haven't aged one bit in twenty years???!!!
The highlight for the kids (besides that they were given those party noisemakers that they were blowing nonstop) was the balloon drop!
A celebration indeed!
Since Kevin helps out by playing in the band for both services we didn't get out to Great wolf Lodge under later in the afternoon but it was still plenty of time for the kids to have fun!

I really enjoyed the family time this weekend but I will admit I was a little itchy to play with my new saleabration stamps!
