Family

A few things got me thinking about family love recently. First I went to a high school information night last week. ( i can't believe my oldest son is preparing to go to high school in the fall) I was totally unprepared for a wave of emotion that came over me as I watched a crew of confident young people performing as a part of the high school jazz choir. Suddenly I realized my son was growing up and wasn't it just yesterday I was watching him graduate from kindergarten? Crazy tears were coming down and it almost became an ugly uncontrollable cry. All while the jazz choir was singing! How embaressing! It made me realize how fast time with my children flies and I want to treasure every moment because I love them so.
For my daughter, loving her means helping her plan her My Little Pony birthday party. I suppose if I had more hours in a day I could have come up with some kind of punch art pony but instead I did a gateway fold card and glued a picture of a pony onto the bellyband.

My little pony has a lot of chevron images so since I don't own the chevron background stamp, I used the chevron image from the eye catching Ikat stamp set.

There's not just my nuclear family that I love but I also have grown to love my stamping family.
It's such a blessing to be a part of such a caring and fun community.
At the recent dinner one of the Team STIC girls brought this beautiful gift and card.

Using the Irrisistably Yours designer series paper (only available and free during saleabration) to make a box and bow was  not something I would have thought to do but it's beautiful isn't it?

Soon I will be off to the Stampin Up leadership conference and will see many of my stampin up family friends.
Of course I will be bringing some little handmade cards and gifts.
Why not take a few minutes today to make something handmade for someone you love?
