My Little Stamper

I can't resist sharing a story about my littlest guy.  One morning this past week he told me he wanted to make a card for his teacher.  She had been away for several days and he thought she would be returning on this particular day.

I could tell he really missed her.  He talked about how great it would be to have her back and he thought he should welcome her back with a card.

We went down to the craft cave and looked at a variety of cards.  He found one that he loved and set about CASE-ing the card.

Here he is hard at work.

Here is the card that he CASE'd.  He changed the sentiment to "Hello There"

It seems that he did not think the card was a sufficient enough gift.  He explained that he really wanted to let her know how happy he was that she was back so he said he wanted to put in a free card class pass for one of my classes.  😀

I tried to talk him out of it because I didn't want the teacher to think I set him up to the task as a business marketing ploy.  I found a cute post it note holder that I had made and suggested he give that to her with the card if he didn't feel the card was enough.

He thought it would be great to give the post it note holder...AND the free class pass.  He really felt the free class pass was the most valuable gift.

I didn't want to discourage him so the card, the post it note holder and the free class pass all went into a cellophane bag to school.

Before my son left for school I told him I'm sure the teacher would appreciate the card and the work he put into it.  He very seriously explained to me that it was actually thanks to me since if it weren't for me, he wouldn't know how to make such nice cards.  My heart melted.  In the next breath he then said "but if you didn't do Stampin' Up! you would be able to play with me more"
LOL.  Out of the mouth of babes!  I wish I could bring the joy of stamping to people AND still have endless play time with my children.  I guess we can't have it all but I"m thankful for the balance I have and my beautiful family.

Hope you all have a great weekend!
