A trick for Mass production

Sorry I missed posting yesterday!  I've been busy as usual.  I'm getting ready for the quarterly Diva Dinner which is happening tomorrow.  I really want to show the girls how special I think they are so that means some special crafting! (Shout out to my super amazing friend and helper Pat who has been doing an awesome job helping me out with crafting and cutting paper and keeping me sane!) I love the flower image that is in the new Oh Hello stamp set from the spring catalogue.  I used it on the Diva Dinner invites and I wanted to carry the theme over to some of their gifts.  The problem is that inking up with marker each time is a bit tiresome when I have to do so many so I decided to try a trick I've seen done before.  I stamped the flower image using staz on ink onto a piece of felt.  Then I used the ink refills in the colour I wanted and dripped it onto the felt piece.  Voila!  A custom ink pad.
I realized quickly that I should have put the felt piece onto a plastic container rather than letting it leak through my paper and onto my craft table.  Still it worked really well.  It was especially perfect that I had the Oh Hello Set in clear so that I could aim the rubber pretty accurately onto my custom felt ink pad.  This was the result.  I did 15 in just a few minutes where if I had to ink with the markers it would've taken much longer.

You can tell I think my Team S.T.I.C Divas are pretty special since I hand cut each flower out.  :-)

So, only 5 more days till Sale-a-bration is live!  Here's a swap sample I received using that great Feeling Sentimental Stamp set.

  1. Great idea! Definitely saves a lot of time with those markers :)
